Internet Taxes

Sorry for the delay, this took me longer to research and write than I expected.  I'm neither a tax attorney nor a CPA, so any comments, corrections are welcome.

Two weeks ago, I wrote about online shopping reaching a milestone as clothing sales online exceeded computer sales for the first time.  While this is certainly a great sign of progress, there are still pitfalls aplenty, and one, which caught my eye last week, is quite interesting.

The Rise of the Internet Retailer

There was an interesting article in the New York Times yesterday about internet retailing.  For the first time, online sales of clothing exceeded that of computer equipment (hardware, software, etc.).  Because of the limitations of shopping online for clothing, this news is being viewed by many as a sign that online retailing has finally reached the mainstream.  While this is great news, there is still a long way to go for wine retailing.
